Everyone Will Be Able To Play Mass Effect 3′s Demo Online

When Bioware announced that the upcoming Mass Effect 3 demo would in fact be a multiplayer demo, I’m sure many Silver Subscribers where wondering just how the hell they were going to get in on the online action without forking out some dough.

Well, Bioware and Microsoft are kind people, and have decided to bundle a free Gold Subscription with the demo, so that every Tom, Dick and Harry can get in on the fun.

No word yet on how long the Gold status will last, or how Microsoft plans to award these subscription, but regardless it’s good news for all concerned. So, if you had made alternate plans for Valentines Day because you didn’t have a Gold Subscription, you best be changing them soon.

Mass Effect 3 will hit stores in March, on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

    Wait… so silver subscribers can’t play demo’s?? Help me here, I dont know about Xbox Live.

      you can’t download or play online with a silver account

      Um, you can still download, but you can’t play any online games without a Gold subscription.

      actually you can download if you have a silver account. the only thing
      you cant do is play games or use any online benefits the gold members
      have. I was silver for a while when i didnt have internet and all i did
      was drag my xbox to a friend, downloaded what i wanted and went on my
      merry way

      Yip it`s free and doesnt expire unless you dont use it for a very very very very long time
