Having A Tough Time With Dark Souls? Got A PS3?

Having A Tough Time With Dark Souls? Got A PS3?

You often hear gamer debate rage over various games and their difficulties only for some arrogant inbred to come in and gloat about how they completed Dark Souls without ever dying and are obviously superior to anyone else on Earth, obviously.

The truth though, is that Dark Souls is a tough game. Really tough. You simply cannot fathom how brutally difficult it is.

For that reason then, a Dark Souls Strategy Guide has been released over Sony’s PlayStation Network and is available to download right now. The 143-page game guide has been compressed to 419MBs and costs the equivalent of $13.

The level of detail that is covered in the guide is impressive, and it should suffice as an aid to any folk who play Dark Souls and require just that little bit of hand-holding through missions, because they lack either the time or effort to simply attempt to play it through.

Finally, some of you guys can attempt to finish the game. Good luck.

My favourite game of 2011. Finished it last week. 5 months of gameplay = 102 hours. I used a gameguide on thr trickier parts and had endless discussion with friends regarding weapons, armour, magic… basically everything that can be used to defeat enemies and make progress. The level of satisfaction after completion is above what words can describe. One of my fav topics was discussing rings and shields. The right piece of equipment for the task at hand. Loved how the game forces you to change items to adjust to a different enemy

PS. EAGLE SHIELD in BLIGHTTOWN. GET IT. GET IT. It`s the best piece of equipment i have come across.

Farming also helps alot. Dont open link if you dont want to know.

Also if you finish the game without a game guide i applaud you BUT make sure to get a guide afterwards because there is so much stuff that will be missed that without the guide you would never even know it was there so NEW GAME+ is a must. And the game is awesome so more than one playthrough is a must do

Also i`ve noticed a gameguide can just direct you. Getting the stuff right in this game even with a guide is a draining yet satisfying experience

Maybe I should get this from Azhar, if he still has it that is. But I’m not really one who likes a challenge, but I do try sometimes, like in GoW1, I’m still trying to defeat the last boss, that shit is super difficult. If I do manage to get this from Azhar, I’ll definitely use the game guide.

What I’m wondering is whether this allows you to bring it up in-game to check where to go next. It’d be horrible having to quit and re-open every time you wanted to check something.

No need for a guide when you’re this awesome…. rolls off a cliff (damn)…. gets cornered and stabbed by skeletons (DAMN)…. boss rapes me, lose collected experience (URGH DAMN)…. walk up to seemingly dead dragon only for it to awake and bite off my head (URGH DAMNIT F$#k SON OF A BIITCH M$#@%#JTJKSG*&%%#$KIDIRN)…. download guide

hate guides just play the game

I think this shows an obvious lack of developing ability. Games should be able to be figured out without a guide. Not necessarily get all the collectibles easily, but the basic gameplay, and the goal should be obvious or easily determined.

I enjoy difficulty and strain in a game from time to time, but as soon as MOST of the game becomes agonisingly difficult then it’s not worth my time. life is to short to be raging at your console every time you have to do an entire area over with the chance of losing ALL your accumulated experience..
