Mass Effect 3 Is Falling From The Sky
Yes, seriously, there are copies of Mass Effect 3 raining from the sky. Ok, maybe not raining, but they are floating down gently, waiting for an eager fan to come along and snag it more than a week before official release. In probably one of the coolest publicity stunts ever seen, EA has launched copies of Mass Effect 3 into the Stratosphere, and are allowing fans to track and grab them.
Yesterday, weather balloons carrying early copies of the game launched from New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris. Fans will be able to track the copies via GPS and the game’s official website, and when the copies do actually “land”, it’s first come, first serve.
Sadly, we’ve been left out of the picture again. I guess EA thought that a lion or something would end up eating the game, and no one wants an animal lawsuit on their hands. So while you wait for the March 8th release date, pick up the demo, the multiplayer portion unlocks for everyone today. Just do it, now.
