There Will Be Something New For Team Fortress 2 This Year

Valve has announced planned updates for Team Fortress 2 for this year. The successful free-to-play game by Valve will see another Saxxy Wards ceremony and a Steam Workshop blog.

Following that, there will be a “Meet The” short for the Pyro as well as “something brand new”. The “something brand new” will be for the game, however it hasn’t been revealed just yet. But, we do know that the “new” isn’t a hat, or a map, or anything like that.

    Did they specifically say the “Meet the” will be the Pyro?

    Because the pyro’s number in the selection screen is 3. We know Valve hates 3′sThe “something new” could be a new class, and the “Meet the” could be the video for it…All speculation of course

      They specifically said Pyro.

      That title probably deserved an exclamation mark, but we over-estimated how many we had and now we’re out. This year, the lovable, indecipherable Pyro finally gets some time in the spotlight. There will be blood. And not like in the movie There Will Be Blood, either, where there was only blood at the end, and not even very much of it. Ours has lots of blood pretty much all the way through. If the butterscotch mint-sucking old mummies who pick the Academy Awards thought Look Out, There Might Be a Little Blood was great, wait’ll they see how many gallons we managed to cram into our movie. They’re going to have to melt down Fort Knox to make all the Oscars we’re going to win.”

    It would be cool to have a Team Fortress vs Gotham City Imposters game. The best add-on for this game would be to have female character skins like those artworks for a long time ago depicting each character as a female.

      They already tried implementing female models and landed up scrapping it. Females in general are of smaller stature, and as such the models, and in turn, the hitboxes, had to be smaller. That gave an unfair advantage over players using the male model so they decided to scrap them

    Gotham City Imposters reminds me a hell of a lot of team fortress…
