A Baker’s Dozen Of Dishonored Screens Whipped Up Just For You

Not long ago, we showed you some footage of Dishonored as part of a dev diary that was released and it bore a strong resemblance to BioShock and possibly even a bit of Half-Life. That’s no co-incidence considering that developer Arkane Studios has assembled a crack team comprising names such as Deus Ex lead designer Harvey Smith and Viktor Antonov, who designed Half-Life’s City 17.

As such this Steampunk game about a disgraced assassin out to clear his name will surely have some pedigree.

On to the screenshots themselves. They show a few characters who Corvo, the protagonist, will encounter as well as a little bit of gunplay and the powers that will be at the player’s disposal. There also appears to be a hooker/ burlesque dancer in many of the shots so make of that what you will.

For those too who missed some of the key details, the game will play out much like the first Assassin’s Creed with a linear structure but in an open-world environment that gives players the freedom to approach missions however they wish.

Dishonored will run on Unreal Engine 3 so it should certainly look the part and will be out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC although no time-frame has been given as yet. Get a brief look at the game in action here.
