Baldur’s Gate Is Coming To iOS

And everyone said that tablet gaming would never catch on. Well, I still think it won’t, but having Baldur’s Gate release on Apple’s iPad later this year sure does blow a hole in my logical thought process. That’s right; one of the best RPG’s ever created is not only coming in an Enhanced Edition, but also to a mobile platform.

Baldur’s Gate on the iPad will feature all the great story and gameplay you’ve experienced from the title before, with a reworked interface for ease of use on the iPad, as well as stunning graphics. It will also feature new content and a new party member. Overhaul released this statement about the port:

Running on an upgraded and improved version of the Infinity Engine, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition™ will include the entire Baldur’s Gate adventure, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and never before seen content including a new adventure and new party member.

I don’t think there was ever a better reason to actually own an iPad.
