Diablo III Loses PvP, Still No Release Date In Sight
It seems only fair that since I’ve won a Collector’s Edition of Diablo III, I should start taking an interest in the game and while there is still no foreseeable release date, the game is already getting bits chopped off perhaps to hasten the coming of that day.
In addition to the changes that have already been made to the game, Blizzard has now cut the game’s PvP system. The game is supposed to be close to completion but the system was cut for not living up to the developer’s strict QA standards.
Game Director Jay Wilson said that Blizzard felt, “delaying the whole game purely for PvP would just be punishing to everyone who’s waiting to enjoy the campaign and core solo/co-op content, all of which is just about complete.”
Because it is obviously right on schedule and has not been delayed at all and everybody will be so pissed off if they don’t get the game on…oh, that’s right there is no actual release date to look forward to yet.
Fret not because Blizzard has promised to release a PvP patch post-release which would add multiple Arena maps with themed locations, PvP-centric achievements, and a matchmaking system.
Surely they could just delay the game a wee bit longer and release it with PvP?
