Peter Molyneux Has Left Lionhead
Well, there’s some news I’m sure you didn’t think you’d hear when you got up this morning. Peter Molyneux, the creative genius at the head of Lionhead Studios has left the company and Microsoft in order to pursue new ventures with another development team.
Peter Molyneux is best known for the creation of the series Black and White, as well as Fable, which has been getting worse and worse with each release. The latest entry into the series is Fable Heroes, an XBLA only title.
News of this departure comes just one day after the game’s announcement, with Molyneux taking to twitter for the first time in four months to break the news.
“I have left the lovely amazing Microsoft and lionhead. Now for something really amazing, scary and brave a new company called 22 Cans.”
At this time, I don’t think anyone in the world knows who 22 Cans are, besides, maybe, their employees. Is all not well at Lionhead? Molyneux was also the creative director of Microsoft Game Studios, so did creative or design clashes lead to his departure from the software giant? All I know is, now with Molyneux gone, I can truly forget about Fable ever being something meaningful again.
