Shooting Minors Online In Modern Warfare Is Fine, Just Don’t Sleep With Them
Straight out of the U.S.A (the country which never ceases to amaze people with idiotic citizens), a 22 year old woman has been prosecuted for having sexual relations with a 15 year old minor, who she allegedly met online in a game on Call of Duty.
Cassandra Grant, faces charges of second-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor after a round of Modern Warfare grew into a nine-month relationship with a 15-year-old Connecticut boy. Apparently, Grant met the teenager last year in March, during a game of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online. At the time, Grant was 21 and the boy was 14.
After the game, and over a period of nine months, the two stayed in constant contact via webcam, voice chat and telephone. Eventually, the two decided to meet up, and apparently engaged in some sexual activities with one another. The boy’s parents discovered the relationship shortly after and informed the police.
Grant turned herself into Monroe, Maine authorities on Monday and was released on $10,000 (roughly R75 000) bail and still faces a court date. Police confiscated her PlayStation 3 and cell phone as part of the investigation.
Now, there is a huge lesson to be learnt about online play here. Firstly, don’t go meeting up with people you’ve only interacted with online. It’s reckless, stupid, and highly dangerous, for all you minors reading this right now (that means you too, Cavie.)
Also, this is partially the parents fault as well. Look at the game’s age restriction and then look at your son. The two aren’t compatible, so why are you allowing him to play online, or even play the game at all? Luckily, this was just some really weird woman looking for some sexy time. Had it been a child abductor or someone similar, this story might not have been funny at all. Parent’s, be smart, please.
