Want AC III On PC? Get A Controller

Assassin’s Creed titles on PC have always felt a bit awkarwd when using a mouse and keyboard, and it seems that Ubisoft have finally given up their pursuit of making assassinations feel natural on the peripherals.

Instead, Assassin’s Creed III creative director Alex Hutchinson suggests that if you’re going to get their title for PC, you should invest in a controller as well.

“We’re definitely supporting PC, we love PC, but I think it’ll be PC with a controller. I don’t see us investing hugely in a mouse and keyboard setup. I think if you want to play on PC and you want to play Assassin’s Creed, you have a controller.”

So, how exactly does that make you feel PC fans? Personally, Assassin’s Creed with a keyboard and mouse never really felt natural, so a more controller based focus is right up my alley.

       Exactly. This seems to be a trend with companies these days. Instead of fixing broken but necessary feature they axe it and claim it was broken.

      Doing a bad job does not mean the feature should be removed.

      I’m looking at you Mass Effect Trilogy.

      I Agree. Lazy. It has come out on PC with keyboard and mouse. I don’t play computer to “feel natural”, i play it for the storyline and gameplay. Ubisoft better not mess this up

    I have a controller but this still pisses me off. “We love PC”. bullshit! If you love PC the make some fucking effort!

    I dont know what the problem is. I’ve had a xbox controller for years now. Some games are just better with a controller (Batman AC). I fact, I’ve delayed buying Mass Effect 3 because of a lack of controller support..

    Hark! Thy must ‘ave a controller to play. Nay say those that does not ‘ave. Henceforth, thy must ‘ave support of those that brands like the likes of anything but an Xbox controller and such.

    I’ve played all my AC games with a controller, so no harm done. In fact, I waited til I got my new Logitech controller before picking up Brotherhood.
