BT Games Reveals Yet Another Unannounced Title
This is getting really, really embarrassing now. BT Games is once again in the news for taking pre-orders for yet another game that hasn’t even been announced yet. God of War IV was news earlier this week, but now BT have seemingly confirmed the existence of Dead Space 3, a game that has been rumoured, but certainly not officially announced by EA.
Job listings posted last year, as well as some teasing posters seemed to confirm the development of the title, but EA has yet to officially announce anything. Previously, EA had said that they want Dead Space to eventually become a trilogy, with EA president Frank Gibeau commenting that the company is hoping to reach a broader audience with the sequel. As of now, all we have slim rumours that they game will trade its dark environments for extremely bright white light, creating a new type of horror with necromorphs being able to blend into anything around you.
But in all honesty, this isn’t something we should be proud of. BT Games have now added Dead Space 3 to a growing list of early slip up, which includes the Jak and Daxter HD Collection, Mass Effect 3′s Multiplayer component and God of War IV. It’s easy to say that their doing this for publicity, which is probably not a bad guess, but it just makes our local gaming community look like they have no clue what they’re doing. If our biggest local retailer can’t even do the simple job of keeping quiet about upcoming games, what can they do right?
