Dark Souls For PC Gets An Official Release Date
I think everyone who has been asking for this to happen deserves a pat on the back. It goes to show that constructive criticism aimed at developers can be useful, and it’s a pleasant change from the mass rage that gamers usually fall under when they don’t get something they want. After many months of pleading and peaceful petitioning, FromSoftware has finally officially confirmed that Dark Souls will be coming to PC.
Publishers Namco Bandi released the information yesterday, along with a release date and some details on what players can expect. PC players will be getting the “Prepare to Die” edition of the game, which will feature a new chapter known as Artorias of the Abyss. This area will have new locations for players to explore, new enemies and even a brand new boss, Dark Knight Artorias. Of course, it will also feature tons of deaths.
More importantly though is the release date. Exactly when will the “master race” be getting their hands on one of the most finely crafted RPG experiences ever? Well, only after winter sadly. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will hit shelves on the 24th of August, giving you plenty time to think about how many ways you can actually die in this title.
So who’s excited that they will finally get to play this masterpiece of an RPG? I might even buy it again, just to see how pretty it looks on a PC.
