Leisure Suit Larry Remake Makes Its Money, Expect A New Game

A few weeks back we revealed that Leisure Suit Larry was possibly coming back. It was seen that Al Lowe and the Replay Games development team were trying to recreate the original title in a quality and standard we’re used to in this day and age.

However, to recreate this masterpiece, Al Lowe and the team needed $500,000. They started a Kickstater campaign to raise the funds.

Guess what?

They have raised over $500,000 for the remake. This is great news, as Leisure Suit Larry games are truly great. And not only because they’re great, but also because they’ve stated that they only need money to fund the first title, where from there, they will be able to make money off sales to create new versions of the game.

Therefore, expect new Leisure Suit Larry games in the future. By the way, the past two or three Larry games weren’t created by Al Lowe and his team — but rather some suckers who wanted to play off the name for money.

Depending on how much more money they make, the remade game could find its way to XBLA, PSN and Linux.
