Max Payne 3 Looks Good In Slow Mo, Except For That Stomach Wobble
Max Payne has always had a party-piece in its slow-mo bullet-time mechanic and it has always allowed the game to look very cool with Max jumping around in cool ways. That’s just what the latest in a series of trailers about the design and technology of Max Payne 3 covers. It focuses on how the series’ trademark feature plays a part in the new game.
It looks cool enough but slowing things down really makes it clear how poor these baddies’ aim is or just that Max should’ve died 10 bullets to the arm ago. It’s also remarkable that Rockstar didn’t include some jiggle physics for Max’s boep so that it wobbles when he moves and goes crazy when you enter bullet-time.
Max Payne 3 is out on May 18 for PS3 and Xbox 360 while PC gamers have to wait until June 1.
