Prototype 2 Live Action Trailer Features A Falling Black Guy

Prototype 2 is nearly upon us, April 24th to be exact, and Radical is reminding us of it with a live action TV commercial. It features an angry black man who is supposed to pass for protagonist James Heller and fills us in on a bit of his backstory while also showing the cause for his need to seek vengeance against Alex Mercer, our ‘hero’ from the first game.

The end is quite cheesy and more than a bit cheap but you won’t really notice once you take a look at Alex Mercer’s paedophile/rapist eyes. The rest of the trailer is pretty good though and there’s even a good Johnny Cash cover of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails to go with it. Why do so many trailers have NIN attached to them in some way these days? There’s this, that one Avengers trailer, The Darkness II launch trailer and even The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trailer.

By the way, PC gamers will have to wait until July 30 to play Prototype 2. Art thou enraged, good fellow?
