Remedy CEO: Max Payne 3 Is “F***ing Brilliant”, And Will Be “Worth The Wait”

In case you’re wondering, Remedy Entertainment were the developers of the original two games in the awesome series, namely Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.

And now, according to Matias Myllyrinne, CEO of Remedy Entertainment, the upcoming Max Payne 3 is apparently going to deliver the goods, and will be worth the wait for fans. Myllyrinne recently spoke to GamesIndustry International and commented on the game, saying:

“It’s f***ing brilliant. I’ve had a chance to play it and we’ve worked with Rockstar a little bit – obviously, they’re doing the heavy lifting. They’re doing the development. But they wanted our input on a couple of occasions and we’ve had loads of our people, our core group, who worked on the first two games, give input and it’s awesome.”

Myllyrinne continued on to talk about the passion Rockstar has for the Max Payne IP, and their natural talent in general to create games of high quality.

“Those guys, they just don’t put out bad games. And so, in that respect, it’s very – it’s almost like the best position to be in. It’s like somebody’s making a great game and you just get to give them input, and it’s already brilliant so I’ve enjoyed it,” he said.

“I can’t obviously – I don’t want to give any spoilers and can’t give out any spoilers, but it’s a testament to their attention to detail and it’s a testament to their passion and dedication. It’ll be worth the wait.”

I guess we’ll find this out for ourselves when the game releases on May 18 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The PC version will be out on June 1.

Well there’s an endorsement, I guess.  Great to see Remedy backing Rockstar even though they’re not involved with Max Payne anymore.
