Torchlight 2 Trailer Shows Berserker Frenzy
A few months ago we did a preview on Torchlight 2, which remains one of the most viewed previews of the year even though it’s technically for an indie title.
With Blizzard’s all-conquering Diablo III now just a month away, it is quite surprising then that some are still more looking forward to Torchlight 2 from Runic Games, who are still hard at work on the hack ‘n slash title.
Now they’ve released a new trailer which shows off some of the charged moves on offer in the game, specifically for the Berserker.
A charged move is basically an ability that powers up over time and allows the player to unleash a special series of attacks for a limited time, depending on their character.
The Berserker’s charged move is displayed in the video above, but another example is the Outlander who initiates a spinning attack that increases in speed. There’s also the Embermage, who enters a trance-like state that causes it to release powerful torrents of magic.
While there is no exact word on when the game will release, you can bet that a lot of people are going to be playing Torchlight 2, with its fully customisable characters, full co-operative multiplayer, open world and TorchED map editor which allows for custom modifications to be built.
Did you play the first Torchlight? Are you looking forward to the sequel?
