Feel The Rush In The New Amazing Spider-Man Trailer

The Amazing Spider-Man movie is no doubt going to be something spectacular however, very little is being expected from the tie-in video game as these things are usually atrocious. Strangely though, the game is being developed by Beenox who handled the last two Spidey games and it is looking pretty decent thus far.

Enter the latest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. It focuses on a key mechanic called Web Rush which is supposed to make swinging around New York a much better experience than anything you’ve had before, supposedly even better than Spider-Man 2. It is also meant to add a bit of depth to combat while also making it more intense. Think of it basically as bullet-time for Spider-Man.

The game hits stores on June 29 for PS3, 360, DS, 3DS and Wii.

    What! … releasing at the end of June?? This one snuck up on me.  Hope Beenox does this one right.  It’s been a while since I’ve had a reason to play a Spider-Man game.

      I hope so too, the last good one I played was Ultimate Spider-Man and that was a long time ago.

    Okay that trailer looked great! Please let this be the Spider-Man’s “Arkham Asylum”…

    Licensed games need that kind of high standards. The best Spider-Man games I can remember playing are Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man Maximum Carnage, Spider-Man 2 The Movie on PS2, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

    I just hope this doesn’t turn into autopilot mode. As in, activate Web Rush, choose direction, push button, Spiderman does everything for you while you watch.
