Machines Rise In The First Black Ops 2 Trailer

One of the worst kept secrets of the year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 finally has a trailer that confirms a lot of speculation that has been happening over the past few weeks. Near future setting? Check. Big reliance of remote controlled weaponry? Check. Riding on horseback? Che…wait, what?

Black Ops 2 finally has its debut trailer, and it crammed full of interesting information and tons of explosions. The game will take place in a near-future setting, a bit of a change from the first title’s Cold War setting. However, there will be some sections that fling you back into the past, probably to try and tie the two titles together. The main narrative revolves around the idea of a huge hacking operation, where enemy forces have gained control of a massive unmanned drone and tanks force, and turned the guns on their makers.

Frank Woods returns as an elderly man to tell the story, complete with a Michael Bayload of explosions and bullets. The trailer also has some glimpses of some set pieces that are sure to make it into the final product, one of which involves riding on horseback through a desert-like setting. Yes, you’ll be riding a horse this time around.

At least the Russians seem to have been left alone for once. Black Ops did have the most interesting narrative out of all the other entries in the series, so here’s to hoping the sequel can continue the trend.

The horse riding sequence looks like a straight first person rip of the one from Uncharted 3. :)

Elderscrolls 2: Daggerfall was one of the first to use FPS horses. Uncharted 3 etc. is nothing. Lol

It’s not the FPS horses friend, it’s the horses, in the desert, chasing bakkies… Have a look on youtube at the scene from UC3 then go and take a look at the trailer again. I’m not even going to mention how the whole setting seems to rip Metal Gear Solid 4… :/

Looks pretty cool, although it looked a little too much like Modern Warfare with future colour paint but at least it tries to be different. Will wait for reviews.
