Match The Song To A Game — A Slave To All The Audio

Did you notice a song sung by Chris Cornell at the end of The Avengers? Do you even know who Chris Cornell is? Have you never heard the names Soundgarden or Audioslave? Well, you see, aren’t you glad you have us to educate you just a bit.

Chris Cornell is probably one of the best vocalists in the rock industry ever, and is easily my favourite front man. He’s headed up bands such as Soundgarden, who played all the way back in the early 1990′s and have recently reunited, debuting their first song on The Avengers. Chris Cornell also sang for a band called Audioslave, who were also known as Rage Against The Machine before Cornell joined them. It’s one of their songs that we’ve chosen for you to match to a game today.

It’s got that perfect “rock” flavour to it, and if you have a decent memory you should recognize this song from an Iron Man trailer from when the first film was released. We want you to match it to a game, game trailer, or even just a general theme. Also, I’ve added Soundgarden’s song on The Avengers for your listening pleasure.

Audioslave is great, still listening to their albums.

I dig it but the best Avenger’s associated song is still We’re in this Together by Nine Inch Nails. I heard it in one of the trailers and it’s now a fixture in my playlist.

It takes a bit to hit its stride but then it is a long song.

I’d say this is perfect for GTA or maybe NFS. I remember the song, therefore I am awesomeman? Cornell has that voice that is pretty much part of the blueprint for any rock band.
