Metal Gear Rising Gets An Extended Teaser Trailer

I’m not entirely sure what to call it but Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance — because when in doubt use everything that describes it — has just got a brand new trailer.

It’s the extended edition of a teaser trailer that released last week and hinted at some sort of reveal this week. Surprise, surprise.

This one’s pretty lengthy for a teaser trailer and adds on an entire minute to last week’s thirty-second-long version, but more importantly, actually explains just what the fuck is going on.

You get to glimpse a character known as ‘Jack’ — basically Raiden before he was transformed into a cyborg, brutally and against his will.

“First recovered video segment from agent Raiden’s severed arm. Warning: Subject’s personal memories may have become entangled due to trauma,” reads the hype-text that accompanies the video.

    yes this video completely clears up any misunderstanding i had. I thought this was going to be a crappy game. Now i know its going to be a crappy game.

      Yeah dude I’m totally feeling the same way. When I saw the first trailer, it completely blew me away! Everything was soooo much more fluid when kojima had controll over the game. Now platnum turned it into a fake, blochy unrealistic mess! And I really dont mean to dog on platnum so bad cause they made history with vanquish. But the only two reasons I’m giving this game a try is because of the story line that I’m interested in and that I must admit that todays’ gamers are falling into this trance of “realism”. Everyone wants a game to be realistic. So in a way I can understand this evitable change in this game. I jus wish they could of did it with a different franchise. Would’ve loved kojimas first outcome with “lightning-bolt action”

    I agree as well. This did not draw my attentetion at all. if anything, it killed any hope i had for this game.
