What’s Got You Excited For E3?

Welcome to the last week of May, also known as ‘the week before E3′ (give or take a few days). This week really has nothing going for it other than various developers and publishers revealing what they’ll have to shove in our faces at E3; desperate for approval like 5 year olds, each with a new crayon drawing that’s just the bestest.

We’ve already been given the finger by Valve who will not be showing anything new at E3. Sorry boys, no Half Life 3. We also know that Bungie won’t be there in any official capacity and chances are there will be other surprise omissions at E3 2012, just as there are every year.

However, there’s a multitude of games that will be on display and which should be enough to get you drooling at more than the booth babes and cosplays. The question then is this: what defines your E3? What are you most looking forward to seeing?

Sure there are games such as Hitman: Absolution and BioShock: Infinite which I am more than excited for but I’ve seen plenty of both. Not to say that more would be a bad thing but it’ll just add to all that i already know and after playing Sniper Challenge, it’s a sure thing that Absolution will rock my world.

Far more interesting then is Dishonored for which I’d like to see a good cross-section of the gameplay or just more in general. Seriously, I love the way that game is looking. Secondly, I’d love to see some proper gameplay of Assassin’s Creed III given that the actual gameplay trailer didn’t really show enough to get me prepping the barber. For those who don’t know. We’ve got a little bet running which states that if AC III can match or supersede Assassin’s Creed II in innovation, story and the overall experience then my head will be victim to a different type of blade.

I could list a few more titles but that’s your job so get commenting. Dance my little puppets, dance!

    But of the confirmed showings: Nothing. UNLESS the secret reveal Ubisoft promised is that of BG&E2.

    I suppose it would be great to see some Dishonored and Assassin’s Creed 3 gameplay. Hoping to see gameplay of The Last Of Us too.

    Not as excited about E3 as I used to be, guess it’s cause of all the leaks that happen nowadays – can’t keep anything a secret for too long.

    I’m most looking forward to (no) news about next-gen consoles, referring to Sony/Microsoft. :P However, I’m keen to see what the WiiU has in store for us.

      It’s Nintendo and it’s on par with the Xbox 360 tech-wise when next-gen is right around the corner. I think Wii U is gonna be as quarky and awkward as Wii but with some titles other than Mario and Zelda.

      OMG, totally forgot about GoW Ascension. That’s another one I’m so curious to see, the singleplayer that is. It can’t possibly match up to GoW III in any way but it’s worth a look anyway.

    I only wish they Try to atleast confirm the dates for the LAST GUARDIAN..

      So far as I can tell, the Last Guardian is really looking like one of those titles that will just fade away and eventually get cancelled. It looked interesting but they’ve dragged it too long for us to expect anything othger than it getting canned.
