World Of Warcraft Stops Bleeding Subscribers
Since we’ve been keeping tabs on what MMO’s are gaining subscribers and which are losing, I feel it’s only fair to report when some games are doing just enough to keep their playing base stable. After quite a bad year regarding subscribers leaving, World of Warcraft seems to have finally become stage again, with Blizzard reporting that their subscriber base has not risen or lowered since they last released stats.
Yesterday Blizzard released their latest count of their WoW subscribers, which seems to have stabilised at around 10.2 million people. This count is unchanged from the last time Blizzard released stats, marking the first time in a long time that WoW hasn’t lost subscribers between counts.
Considering a new expansion is coming soon, which aims to help new players even more, these figures may just rise and continue doing so for the months following its release. Blizzard seem to have the situation under control.
