Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, On Its Way To Attack You In August
Valve has announced that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will launch later this year, on all platforms — simultaneously. Just take a second to understand this: it’s PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 all at the same time.
Who does that?
And, seeing as Valve isn’t a regular developer for consoles — yes, they have a few titles on all platforms — it’s truly great. Not to mention, Counter-Strike is not at all available on console, so it’s a first.
The game will be available on the PlayStation Network and on Xbox Live Arcade, as well as on Steam, for $15 — about R130. The price seems very reasonable as well. It’s a first-person-shooter which needs multiplayer, therefore, it never gets boring as it’s always changing.
CS: GO is scheduled to launch on 21 August where it will offer all sorts of new modes and features. Unfortunately, cross-platform play is no longer possible, however, it might be a future possibility.
