Details Of A Limbo Follow-Up Surface
Limbo is easily one of the best indie games ever created. It’s not deemed one of the best because of its platforming, but rather the way in which the platforming constantly changes throughout the 2 hour experience as well as the immensely creepy and eerie atmosphere that you’re forced to explore. It also tells a really interesting story about a boy who’s looking for his sister in this land of nightmares; one which is never really concluded either.
Thankfully, that’s what makes Limbo so memorable and I’m hoping PlayDead can create something just as spectacular with their rumoured follow-up project. Named “Project 2″, this latest title seems to be sticking with the puzzle/platformer theme, and will be releasing on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Mac.
According to Kotaku, Project 2′s will “tell the story of a boy’s struggle against evil forces trying to take over the world through questionable experiments on human bodies.” Good to see that PlayDead are already setting the scene for a creepy atmosphere.
PlayDead has also said that this title is “more 3D than you think”, dubbing it to be a 2.5D title. Additionally, this new title is set to be “more weird” than Limbo in “many ways.” Consider me extremely excited to see more of this.
