Expendables 2 Video Game Is Happening Whether You Like It Or Not
Nobody and I mean nobody wants to see a video game of The Expendables 2. The movie itself will already be a hackneyed attempt for a group of outdated action stars to try and make themselves relevant again after having to give way to younger, fitter action heroes. The game itself will likely be a turd but that hasn’t stopped Ubisoft from making a 4 player co-op shooter for PSN, XBLA and PC.
It puts you in control of Barney Ross, Gunner Jensen, Hale Caesar and Yin Yang (Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Jet Li).
“Building on the universe created in the high-octane, star-studded movies, The Expendables 2 Videogame invites gamers on an adventure to rescue an extremely valuable, kidnapped billionaire,” explains the PR.
“It’s business as usual, until all hell breaks loose and the explosive mix of testosterone and kerosene detonates in a massive fireball that never lets up. The adventure concludes right where the new movie begins, creating a continuous story experience for fans of the Expendables’ hard-boiled brand of action.”
The game is supposed to feature a mix of “close-quarter combat”, vehicle gameplay and take players all around the world from jungles to deserts. Levels will contain challenges and players’ scores tallied on leaderboards.
