Hawken Might Allow You To Practice Before You Kill Your Friends
Adhesive, the creators of Hawken, originally stated that the upcoming game would be a multiplayer-only shooter. However, this might change — a little.
According to company, there might be some sort of singleplayer component or training missions. This will effectively give players the chance to get familiar with the technology before hopping into the hot-seat to kill others.
Producer Jason Hughes confirmed that the game is aimed to be “100% multiplayer”, however that doesn’t mean that players won’t be able to practice before playing with others.
When asked about single-player content, Hughes said, “I have to admit there’s a lot of things we want to do for the game,”
“Most likely we’ll be launching with our Team Deathmatch, we have our Siege Play which is unique to Hawken, and we’ll most likely have one other mode, and we want to give people an opportunity to get used to the game before they jump into multiplayer.
“That can be handled in a variety of ways, but there are a number of things we want to do with the game that may not just be versus.”
The open beta for Hawken starts on 12 December. It will be available on PC.
