PC Graphics Are 24 Times More Powerful Than Xbox 360

According to Nvidia engineer Simon Green, the latest PC graphics cards are 24 times more powerful than the one used in the Xbox 360.

Unreal Engine 4 was recently revealed at E3 2012, where it was demonstrated using a GeForce GTX 680 card. This card is said to be more than capable of running Unreal Engine 4, where its successor, the GTX 690, is twice as powerful. If you haven’t seen Unreal Engine 4, it looks magnificent.

The unveiling of Unreal Engine 4 was done on PC, as was Watch Dogs and Star Wars: 1313. One can only guess that due to the visuals and physics found in these games, current generation consoles wouldn’t be able to handle the high level of detail.

Consoles are already six years old, where PC technology is constantly being bettered.

On the topic of cloud gaming, Green said that technology and hardware will evolve, as “the whole idea of owning a separate piece of hardware to play games on might be completely redundant.”

Unreal Engine 4 proves that developers are ready for next-gen.

    How i love console fan boys so hard over their xbox or ps3, must be awesome to play games in a low graphics setting and horrid frames.
