Super Slim PlayStation 3 Documents Found Online?
Documents relating to, what could be, a brand new PlayStation 3 has surfaced. According to Eurogamer, the model in question is possibly a “super slim” model. The documents concerning the following images were filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where it was then spotted by a Japanese website.
The model is allegedly labeled the 4,000 Series.
At the moment, the current generation PlayStation models are part of the 3,000 series. It was then hinted that the 4,000 series would be revealed at Gamescom next month.
The images for the device were filed with the FCC, where it shows the size relation of the 4,000 series to the other models. It seems a bit smaller, doesn’t it?
This initiative seems a bit strange, and somewhat gallant, because aren’t we meant to be expecting next-generation consoles in the next two years, and does this mean Sony are looking to cash in before the new technology arrives?
Or, of course, this could all be a hoax.
