What Are The Most Annoying Things People Do Whilst Gaming?

I’m not gonna lie to you, some people are downright annoying when it comes to gaming and the things they decide to suddenly do are enough to drive one crazy. I regularly play FIFA with friends when they come over or when we’re at someone’s house and there are some things that just tick me off despite the largely passive person I am. I’m also guilty of some of these bad habits so I’m definitely not sitting on my high-horse of superiority. I also do some of these annoying things from time to time because I’m human and as far as I know, so are most of you.

I’m talking about those annoying habits that people have that only seem to come out when they’re gaming or possibly just become more pronounced. For example, people who pause the game to make substitutions in FIFA just as you’re getting into an advantageous position to score. Or the people who insist on carrying out conversations on their phone while you’re playing. I’m guilty of both of these so I’m certainly not passing judgement. There are also the people who will snack while they’re gaming and while there’s nothing wrong with that and everybody needs some fuel for gaming, those that don’t clean their hands off before picking the controller up again deserve a special place in hell. They leave a greasy residue on the controller or make it just a little sticky and that’s just plain wrong.

There are also those who have developed bad habits in-game. The guys who can’t be team players and always look for solo glory or the people who screw around when it’s not funny anymore.

Well, I didn’t get anywhere near the rant I thought I’d go on for this topic but maybe you’ve got an axe to grind. So what exactly are the most annoying things that people you know do whilst gaming? Let us know and if possible, please mention names so that our friendly neighbourhood assassin, Rudolf, can ‘take care of them.’ Also, I referred to myself way more than I’m comfortable with but so be it.

    I would say the worst thing for me is when somebody is trying to have a full blown conversation with, not regarding anything gaming, or for that matter the game your busy playing, just talk and talk about things you do really not give a C$#p about, or the down right unpleasant people who have or need you to do something non gaming related, or even ask you to do something and make you pause or end your game for this matter!!!

      Totally agree, I like having a conversation with people while we’re gaming but it’s just downright annoying when they insist on talking about shit that is completely uninteresting.

    Playing an online game that can’t be paused, and then someone disrupts you and everything its screwed up :(

    Telling me how unbelievably good I am at the game.

    It’s highly awkward and leaves me with very little to say, I know I’m THAT fucking good, you don’t need to tell me, nor am I gonna lie just to be modest. So please, just shut up, bend the fuck over and continue taking it like the bitches you are.

    When ragers are raging at one-another, but they do it so badly that you just want to crawl into a ball and die of shame, because you are associated with these people.

    I hate it, especially in games like Ghost Recon and FIFA Street’s Team play mode when people go for glory rather than playing as a team. 

    Ghost Recon is a team game, and when you run around fishing for kills, it just makes you look like a giant asshole and it makes us lose.

    And in FIFA Street, when you play Team Play mode just so you can show us how good you are, it proves absolutely fuck-all other than you’re a giant douchebag and should burn in hell. 

    The pausing to make subs in FIFA doesn’t really bother me, I get back into a game very quickly, although I wouldn’t mind if they made the system a little quicker or if they could integrate a system for subs without pausing (doubtful).
