Gaymercon Kickstarter Reaches Goal

Gaymercon Kickstarter Reaches Goal

Have you heard of Gaymercon? It’s this gaming convention for homosexual gamers that throws the middle finger to conservatives around the world and isn’t shy about it.

Some might wonder what the point of a gaming convention for homosexuals is, but really why the fuck not? Either way, there are people with money who have demonstrated that it is important, at least to them. This has allowed the gay-friendly convention to surpass its funding goal within just five days of creating a Kickstarter account to do so.

With an original goal of $25,000 the fundraiser has now reached over $28,000 with 25 days still left on the clock.

To compliment this and goad more donations, the team has added new stretch goals; At $35,000 Gaymercon will feature the Gaymerconcert which brings together a whole bunch of bands for a Saturday night party. At $60,000 a celebrity “Boss of Honor” will be acquired.

The convention will obviously not be held here but if you’re a supporter of homosexuality or gaming — and really in 2012 why wouldn’t you be — then you should head over to the Kickstarter page and donate. Do your good deed for the day.

A gaming convention for homosexual gamers.

Now, I’m going to say something, but read everything before you reply with hate. In my opinion, this is a stupid thing to do and spits in the face of homosexual people around the world who only want to be seen as normal.

Why have a gaming expo specifically for homosexual gamers? The homosexual community strives for equality, so why make an expo that focuses on segregation according to sexuality? Explain this to me please…

By that logic, we shouldn’t have Womans Day, or Fathers or Mothers Day. The point is not to promote segregation but to celebrate freedom of expression. I would think.

I like that logic….scrap all whatnot or another days..

I thought our gaymer buds where already among us? This seems like a waste of time. Equal everything to everybody….but seperate events??? These are irresponsible people that organise such events..
