Jay Z Is Producing NBA 2K13, Hand-Picked The Soundtrack

We typically don’t pay NBA games too much attention because we’re far too concerned with FIFA or NFL, if you’re a bit odd. NBA 2K13 is a little more interesting though with Jay Z being brought on as executive producer of the game. That’s funny considering he owns one of the teams in the NBA.

He even hand-picked the game’s 24-track strong soundtrack. It’s no surprise then that there’s plenty of his own music along with a little bit of Kanye.

“This has been a unique opportunity to collaborate with 2K Sports and be a part of one of the best sports video games in history,” said the man himself. “NBA 2K13 will be the next evolution in sports and basketball culture, and I’m ready to usher in the new era of the franchise.”
