Borderlands 2 Is Better With Extra Wubs

Borderlands 2 Is Better With Extra Wubs

What in the blazes is Extra Wubs, you ask? Well, to explain that I’d have to backtrack a little which is odd because we haven’t really gone anywhere just yet but just go with it for the sake of time constraints since we only have two months and 19 days until our inevitable demise. A game as big and as crazy as Borderlands 2 is bound to be brimming with easter eggs and there are plenty that give the nod to other games such as Dark Souls but did you know that the game even has a little something in store for those of you who remember the Konami code.

The Konami code is basically a cheat code from back in the day that was universal to all Konami games and so by simply pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B [crouch for PC/PS3 players], A [jump button for PC/PS3 players], Start on the Borderlands 2 title screen you will unlock a feature called Extra Wubs. After keying in the code, go to the gameplay tab in the options menu and you’ll find Extra Wubs there as a feature which can be turned on or off. Not that it matters because it does absolutely nothing and there’s even a little apology from Gearbox about that. So the code doesn’t actually unlock anything but it is still an elaborate and cool easter egg the likes of which you don’t quite expect to see anymore.

Care to tell us what you’ve found thus far while exploring Pandora?
