Report: Borderlands 3 Already In Planning

According to Gearbox Software’s lead writer, Anthony Burch, Borderlands 3 is already being planned and brainstormed. Not surprising, hey?

Although, take this with a pinch of salt for now, as there are no details. A report from MP1st claims that Burch revealed on the recent outing of the ‘The Totally Rad Show’ that his team are already brainstorming ideas for Borderlands 3.

It shouldn’t be surprising to you though, considering how great Borderlands 2 is doing right now and how popular it is. The first game came out in 2009, and Borderlands 2 has just released, so it will likely be some time until we see a third game.

    Expected, but still exciting to hear :P They can take their time though, Borderlands 2 took three years to develop and so far the wait has been more than worth it. No need to rush something as beautiful as this, minion :P

    This, doesnt surprise me.
    I think most companies make the first game of a series not really knowing for sure if it’ll tank or do well, and then if/when they release game number 2 they put in planning for game number 3 and brainstorm from there.
