This Far Cry 3 Trailer Is All About Story

Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for Far Cry 3 focusing on the story of the game, which takes place on The Rook Islands, “a tropical paradise that hides a century of horrors and misery.”

You play as Jason Brody, a stranded tourist forced to confront their twisted inhabitants, “faces his own insanity and change into something he never thought he become,” if he’s to survive and rescue his friends. Kind of like Jack Carver in the first Far Cry, but without the waterfall shower scene and with more insanity. Obviously.

Speaking of the game recently, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that the shooter, “has achieved among the best playtest scores in Ubisoft’s history, confirming the game’s outstanding quality.” That, or the playtesters were driven insane. What, too much?

Far Cry 3 has officially gone gold and is set to release on November 29th, which is a week ahead of the expected release date I mentioned in our preview of the game, a few months ago.
