Insider Claims Xbox 720 Development Is “Pretty Much Fight Club”

Recent CVG sources have given a bit of detail on how Microsoft deals with secret squirrel information about unannounced consoles, and similarities have been drawn with the famous movie, Fight Club.

“When Microsoft wants to run a secret project, they divide it into tents, which are cross-discipline teams,” the insider revealed, looking ahead at next generation console announcements.

“The first you know of this is you’re asked for a one-to-one webcam chat, where it’s explained to you that it’s pretty much Fight Club, and that you’re not allowed to tell anyone that you’ve been talked to about ‘joining the tent’.”

“You sign a load of paperwork, and then afterwards they give you some indication of what the hell you’ll be working on,” the insider continued. “The bit I find crazy is that you have to find time to work on the tent project yourself; your line manager isn’t allowed to know what you’re working on.

“Microsoft sends out a list of stock answers that you’re allowed to give if your manager asks you where all your time is going, and a phone number to call if they don’t believe you. If they call that, they’ll get confirmation you’re working on a project, but absolutely nothing more.”

Interesting stuff, wouldn’t you say?

So MIcrosoft likes to operate like a secret squirrel organisation? Some kids never grow up :P

Another reason why Xbox 360 is superior to the PS3. Look at the Fight Club reference. Justification enough.

But we do not talk about Fight Club therefore we do not talk about Xbox

With its state of the art Blu-ray I don’t think any console has ever had this kid of innovation.

Adam is trolling. He knows PS3 > Xbox. Why do you think blu ray won son?

Because it has the sexier name. And that’s it, really.

Bluray has more storage capacity than HDDVD, proven by the fact some xbox games need more than 1 cd to play whereas the same game for a PS3 would only require one. Also microsoft is the devil. I wish google would make a gaming console.
