Crytek Has “Big Plans” For Crysis 3 DLC
Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli has a reputation for saying things that he really shouldn’t even consider uttering but for once, he seems to have said something non-offensive and legitimately worth hearing. If you’re interested in Crysis 3 that is.
Crytek has confirmed that it has big plans for Crysis 3 DLC but for now we can at least hold onto the hope that none of those plans involve day one DLC. However it is an EA published title and they seem to have a penchant for that sort of thing.
Speaking with CVG, Yerli was asked if the studio had any plans for DLC beyond the humdrum map packs.
He replied, “We’re still exploring that. We have some plans in mind that we can’t disclose yet, but we are going to wait a little bit to see how the beta’s running and how the game does for the first few days. We do have a big plan to support it.”
By the sound of things, depending on the reception to Crysis 3′s multiplayer we may see additional modes. What Yerli actually means remains to be seen but at least nobody can get angry about what he’s said this time.
