eGamer Is Now Four Years Old, And Still Changing

Gosh, we’re four years old today. How time has slipped by.

As the passion within grew, so did eGamer. Things have changed tremendously, and we’re bigger and better than ever. Our team has grown, and so has our community. We’re going to continue working at this.

Today not only marks our birthday, but probably one of our most exciting changes too: we’re aiming to be different. A lot different.

We’ve rebranded to be something a little different to one’s average videogame website. We’ve decided that we’d like to be “The Gamer’s Voice”, which is essentially us as gamers, and you as a gamer, too. The idea behind this is to not only promote better discussion through articles, instead we’d also like you to actually want to talk about more in the comments section. This is an opportunity to share your view to others who actually want to hear your side of the story. We’re not going to let your words slide by, instead, we’ll sit and chat. We promise.

Now, we don’t only want you to comment. No. We also want you to submit your articles to the site, where we will have competitions and opportunities for community members to have their share and be rewarded. Being a gamer is tough, we want to make it worth your while, every second of every day. More on this later, though.

Our revised schedule offers us the opportunity to split news and media (videos and galleries) with opinions and factually based articles on the industry. It allows us to share a different sort of message, where we’re no longer the ‘one and only’ but something that complements your other favourite gaming offerings.

Then, if that isn’t enough, we’ll be adding technology, eSports and more to the site. We’re definitely going to talk, so will you join, or at least listen? Remember, we’re talking to you, not at you.

To everyone out there who visited us, for a minute or a year, we thank you for your support. We love you. Unconditionally.

I still remember last years post where we were all told to visit the site at 10am lol. Happy Birthday guys and thanks for all the news and giveaways :)

  • CataclysmicDawn

Congrats guys, wish you guys a lot of success. Love coming here, because you lot have a very welcoming community, despite the trolling and other lols.

    • AG_Sonday

Thank a million and truth be told we wouldn’t be where we are without you guys who frequent the site, spread the word and just generally give it life. It wouldn’t quite be the same sans the trolls, would it?

    • CataclysmicDawn

Seriously, imagine this place without Trebzz?
Sure it would be less violent and disturbing, but it wouldn’t have the same life to it. xD

I think Trebzz keeps everything in balance. Without him we’d be nothing as would Man Utd.
