PlayStation 4 Reveal Round-Up
If you managed to stay up for the rather lengthy PlayStation 4 reveal event, then you’ve probably seen all there is to see concerning Sony’s new console. While we may not have an actual console to speak of, a lot was shown off during the two and a half hour event, including the Dualshock 4 controller, exclusive titles such as Killzone Shadow Fall and as well as some interesting announcements such as the partnership Blizzard has made with Sony.
There was a lot more revealed, more than most people expected, which is a good sign for the console already, so why not take a look at all our coverage on the PS4 so far.
To kick things off, why not take a look at the full specifications of the PS4, as well as images of the new Dualshock 4 controller. After that, you can check out the numerous software changes and additions Sony will be implementing with the PS4, making the console a lot more social than any other console to date, allowing streaming while download and new PS Vita compatibility.
Then, of course, there are the games and for a console announcement there was a surprising amount of titles announced and even shown off, with some live gameplay demos being the best of the lot.
Check out all the games revealed during the event below:
- Killzone Shadow Fall
- InFamous: Second Son
- Knack (Brand new PS4 exclusive IP)
- Diablo III
- Watch_Dogs
- Destiny
- Deep Down (New IP from Capcom)
- The Witness (New IP from the creator of Braid)
- Drive Club (New racing simulator from Motorstorm developers, Evolution)
Quite a list isn’t it? Best of all is the fact that most of the games shown had accompanying live demos to go with them, so be sure to check those out. The only real absence was the actual console itself, which seems to be the source of much frustration regarding the entire event itself, despite some rather groundbreaking features being announced and shown off.
Regardless, Sony definitely didn’t disappoint with their PS4 announcement, and we can now gladly say that the next-generation of consoles has finally kicked off. Your move, Microsoft.
