PS3 Revengeance Players Will Get Exclusive VR Content
The Metal Gear franchise made a name for itself on Sony’s console, with the Xbox 360 only recently getting some love with the HD Collection. Metal Gear Rising may be breaking the trend by releasing on both console, but that doesn’t mean Kojima is forgetting where he made a name for Solid Snake, Raiden and more. That’s why PS3 owners are getting not one, but 30 exclusive VR mission in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Taking inspiration from the VR missions from the first Metal Gear Solid, these 3- exclusive challenges will force Raiden to sneak, slice and slide through various different environments that bear no resemblance to any location in the game’s story. Each mission will take place in a psychedelic looking simulation area, hence the terms “Virtual Reality” missions. Additionally, players will get to helm a Dwarf Gekko in some of the challenges. No Mother Gekko Kojima?
It’s unclear whether or not these mission will be exclusive DLC for PS3 owners or whether it will come on-disc free of charge, so I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. Regardless, it is a nice incentive to those not sure about which console they’re buying this latest Metal Gear title on. Xbox 360 may have the more visually appealing version, but hey PS3 has VR missions. The choice is yours I guess.
