Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed Event

Ubisoft has announced an Assassin’s Creed event due to take place on February 27 which is precisely one week from now. Invitations have even been sent out to most major gaming journalism entities. Speculation suggests the vent may be to announce a new Assassin’s Creed III DLC although to assemble a room full of media instead of simply sending out a press release seems a bit contrived and thus we must make the theoretical leap to assume that Ubisoft is announcing Assassin’s Creed 4. In the same way that Sony is announcing PS4. There’s a quaint symmetry here, no?

Earlier this month company CEO Yves Guillemot told investors that during fiscal year 2014 (April 2013 – April 2014), and “all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period,” will be introduced. He also said the game will be “another major leap forward for the franchise.”

Sounds like as much affirmation I need to know we’re getting another AC game this year.
