Fez PC Release Date Announced, Could Also Come To The Vita

Fez, while a rather bug plagued title at launch, was one of the more intriguing indie games released last year for two reasons. Firstly it introduced players to a character who had just discovered the third dimension, leading to some rather satisfying and mind-bending puzzles. Secondly, Fez developer Phil Fish really is entertaining to watch, just because most of the world hates him. I’m not evil, I promise you.

Lucky for Phil, some of that hate might have subsided yesterday after a listing on Steam’s homepage revealed that Fez will be making it’s PC debut in just over a month, with the game being made available on May 1st. Right now it looks like on the PC version will be released, but Fish has said that him and his team at Polytron are working on a Mac version as well.

Even more exciting is the prospect that the title could eventually find it’s way to the Playstation Vita. Fish hinted at this in a Q&A session over Reddit, stating that it could be something they look at in the future. Considering there are still secrets yet to be discovered in Fez, which released nearly over a year ago, you can bet that people will still be excited for this late launch.

If you weren’t able to get your hands on Fez when it released on Xbox 360 last year, this might be your chance. Check out our review for more on Fez.
